

They give examples to describe something with that is unique. Simile: Similes compare two things that aren’t very similar, and usually include like or as. Example #1 “The sky promised more snow” (Anderson, 252) Example #2 “The clouds scuttled away” (Anderson, 267) Personification: Personifications give life to different object that don’t think, or give life to a non human object, and they are creative and make the reader think differently.
